About Us
My job is to help make your pet fit perfectly into your life, and lifestyle. It’s not something I take lightly, and it’s something I will focus my energy on, and work hard at.
The thing that makes me different at as a trainer is that I specialize in relationship changes. I am a lifestyle dog trainer. I am not the person down the road that is going to teach your dog some fun tricks, and leave you guessing with the rest. Nor am I a big box store training course that will work on clinical teaching in a very unrealistic space, and send you home hoping something sticks.
What I will do is put you and your dog into a lot of different, guided situations to best teach you both, and set you up for success.
I will make sure to answer any questions that you have, so when you leave me to continue your new journey with your strengthened relationship, you don’t have any unanswered. I will also be here to support you throughout the lifetime of your dog.
Ideally, you will only need to see me for your training package. However, I want to hear from you often for updates and will always want the continued relationship between us to be as important as it was on day one.
There will be a great amount of work that is going to come from your end in this process. A personal trainer can’t lose 50 pounds for someone without them putting in their own effort. The same goes for the relationship with your dog. Subsequently, its behavior won’t change without you putting in the time to keep the momentum moving.
So I will treat you as a beginner dog trainer, and by the time you’re done with my program, I want you to be confident enough to not only continue work with your dog, but also help with a neighbor or friend’s dog that needs help!
About Zach
I was raised in a few different households, and moved around a lot as a child, but the one constant was that there was always a dog. Whether it belonged to me, a neighbor, or a friend, I always found myself having a dog as the center of what made me happy. The unconditional love, comfort, and companionship I got from these various dogs was as immeasurable as it was needed.
What started as me teaching these dogs simple commands and tricks, turned into understanding body language, tendencies, and patterns of behavior. This understanding allowed me to understand what they needed, what was happening in our shared environment, and how to guide them into changing certain behaviors.
In my mid 20’s, I got my first dog of my own as an adult, and spent every waking hour possible with him. That included taking him everywhere I went. Every walk, car ride, party, date, outdoor excursion, you were guaranteed to see him. I realized then that I could use what I learned when I was younger, apply it to him in every day life and situations, and he could become confident, well mannered, and adapt to every situation with me by his side. I want everyone to experience what I had with that very special dog. Dodger was his name, and the love I had for him will be shown in every training session I do with any dog moving forward.
